| Telecommunications Field Engineer |

Job Description
With general direction and supervision, this position provides effective customer service and field support to clients by performing routine and moderately complex activities to install, repair, upgrade, test and maintain enterprise-wide network/systems (e.g., telecommunications, LANs, WANs, distributed processing and client server configurations), hardware and software, diverse development platforms, technologies, and tools. With detailed direction, may assist or perform work activities of a complex nature.
Qualifications
General knowledge of electrical, computer network or telecommunications equipment, systems and applications as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field is required. Relevant experience may substitute.
Telecom certification on one or more of the following products is required: Mitel, NEC, Tadiran and Avaya IP Office telecommunication systems.
A+, NET+, CTP and a CCNA are required to perform the work as described above.
Two to three years of field support experience with at least one year of telecommunications installation experience is required.
Experience supporting VoIP, IP Telephony and Unified Messaging (UM) including Quality of Service (QoS), redundancy, architecture, engineering, implementation, troubleshooting resiliency, load balancing, creation of complex dial plans, call routing and trunk engineering is strongly preferred.
Experience troubleshooting Linux and Window OS is preferred.
Practical experience in network designing, implementation and management of LAN/WAN Systems is also preferred.
A valid driver's license and driving record that meets Clear Connection’s minimum insurance standards is required.

Job Description
This position provides effective customer service and field support to clients by performing routine technical tasks of basic to moderate-complexity, as related to maintenance, installation, upgrades and changes for telecommunications and data network/systems.
Qualifications
A High school diploma or GED is required.
Mitel, NEC, Tadiran, and Avaya IP Office telecom certifications or the ability to undergo training and obtain such telecom certifications is required.
A foundation and fundamental understanding in as well as skills with devices, systems components, networks, and protocols is required.
The ability to install, troubleshoot, configure and manage computers and basic networks is also required.
The ability to proficiently maintain and troubleshoot a variety of network operating systems is also desired.
Experience installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing twisted pair cabling systems is required.
Experience performing technician level telecommunications field installations is desired.
A strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
A valid driver's license and driving record that meets Clear Connection’s minimum insurance standards is required.
